Self‑Care Sunday: When the People We Expected to Stay… Don’t
This week’s Self‑Care Sunday conversation holds space for a tender and often unspoken part of grief: the moment we realise that some of the people we thought would stand beside us after the loss of a pregnancy, baby or child… simply don’t.
Over the years, many of the parents have shared that the deepest hurt doesn’t always come from the loss alone, but from the silence that follows — the friends who, ignore or dont include you in a message, or group, when it feels like they have all drifted away, the family members who avoid the subject, friends who think you should "move on" and the people who “don’t know what to say” and so say nothing at all. It can feel like a second loss layered on top of the first. We know, so breathe, we got you!
