Service of Celebration with the Benefact Group
We are delighted to share that Harry and I will be attending the Benefact Group’s prestigious Service of Celebration in just 11 days’ time. This invitation is an honour and a meaningful recognition of the work carried out by Hand Made with Love & Making Memories CIC and Angel Parents UK & Worldwide.
For twelve years, our focus has been on supporting families affected by pregnancy and infant loss and campaigning for a National Day of Remembrance for Pregnancy and Infant Loss. While recognition has never been our motivation, we have come to understand how important it is to acknowledge the work being done today — because every year, families tell us how much 15th October means to them, and how vital this support is.
Our organisations are built on compassion, community, and shared experience. The volunteers who give their time, skills, and hearts ensure that families who have lost a baby during or after pregnancy feel seen, supported, and remembered. This work is carried out in honour of our own babies and the many families who walk this path.
Reflecting on our previous experience at the Benefact Group Awards at the Tower of London, I remember the nerves, the emotion, and the overwhelming kindness shown by the event team. What began as an anxious moment became a powerful reminder of the impact of community-led support. Standing among so many individuals and organisations dedicated to helping others was both humbling and inspiring.
We are excited to return, reconnect with familiar faces, and meet new ones as we celebrate the Benefact Group’s extraordinary achievement of donating £250 million to charities and good causes. Their commitment to supporting communities across the UK is truly remarkable.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Scott Hayes for his support during the previous event, and to Ecclesiastical for sponsoring our award:https://www.ecclesiastical.com/
