Baby Loss Awareness Week 2026
Day 1 of Baby Loss Awareness Week UK 2026 💙🩷**
Today, as we begin Baby Loss Awareness Week 2026 (#BLAW2026), we would like to start with a heartfelt tribute to all the babies and children who are loved beyond measure and remembered every single day. It has been a busy evening completing special graphics for our volunteers babies, something me and Harry do each year. Something special for them to remember the impact their little one has upon others. Thank you to the lovely Tori from Luna's Legacy for handmaking our Admin team parents special graphics for 15th October , packaging and getting them out with a little love from Luna's mummy of course.
Throughout the year, our incredible volunteers dedicate countless hours to creating personalised remembrance graphics for bereaved families. Thousands are shared across our social media platforms each month, helping parents see their children's names honoured, celebrated, and remembered. Alongside this, our special Acts of Kindness Packs help carry the names of our babies and children from one family to another, ensuring their precious stories continue to be shared.
However, as many of you know, there is always something that touches my heart and inspires me to share. Recently, I came across Chasing Rainbows Charity, based in Hull, who have created a beautiful platform where families can share the names of their babies and children during Baby Loss Awareness Week.
Having used the service myself, I was deeply moved by its simplicity, kindness, and accessibility. The service is completely free to use, with an optional donation for those who wish to contribute. There is no pressure, no expectation, just a welcoming space created with compassion and understanding. As a bereaved parent, being able to add my children's names without feeling obligated to pay felt like a genuine heart hug.
It is always encouraging to see support initiatives developed by baby and child loss parents who truly understand the journey, creating meaningful resources with families at the centre of every decision.
As we prepare for the week ahead, we are incredibly grateful for every interaction, every share, every story, and every family who continues to join together in remembrance. There is comfort and strength in speaking their names, sharing their memories, and ensuring they are never forgotten.
So, wherever you are this morning, we invite you to take a few moments for yourself. Embrace your 15 Minutes of Self-Care, find a quiet space, and send your letter to the stars.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in creating such a gentle and meaningful start to Baby Loss Awareness Week 2026.
