💗 A Special Moment for Northern Ireland

We are so pleased to hear the news that Baby Loss Certificates are now available in Northern Ireland. My heart felt hugged reading this tonight. I can already think of four people who will be online completing theirs in memory of their little ones — and that alone brings a lump to the throat.

As a baby loss mum of little ones under 24 weeks, I know the importance of this. The butterflies, the heartache, the pause before pressing submit… but I promise, they will be happy tears. A precious moment of acknowledgement for babies who have always mattered.

There is still so much work to be done. I’ve read the 73 recommendations from the 2023 Independent Pregnancy Loss Review by Zoe Clark‑Coates, and I truly hope that with changes in government, the promises laid out continue to be honoured.

But tonight, this is a special and long‑awaited moment for bereaved families in Northern Ireland — and hopefully soon, for Wales too.
