Day 7 Update

#MHW2026 Mental Health Awareness Week#bblaw2026 Black Baby Loss Awareness Week

This Sunday, we are focusing gently on self‑care and mental health. If you are browsing today, you are welcome to check in with us in whatever way feels right for you. Some of our team members have shared their own lived experiences of mental health challenges and the loss of a baby or child. Their stories are held with tenderness, and we hope they help you feel a little less alone.

This week brings two important awareness campaigns: Black Baby Loss Awareness Week and Mental Health Awareness Week 2026. To honour both, we are sharing some of the gentle work happening behind the scenes in our new Safe Space on our website.

At Hand Made with Love & Making Memories CIC, our team has been visiting NHS hospitals, delivering Acts of Kindness, and celebrating International Nurses Day. Memory boxes and comfort packs have travelled as far as Scotland, where Tracy Bulpitt has been supporting families in a nursing home. Luanne has been preparing special hospital packs, and our nurses enjoyed an afternoon of tea, cake, and connection—small moments that bring warmth during difficult days.

Our admin team has been reflecting on their own journeys during Mental Health Awareness Week — writing, learning, and recognising how far they’ve come. Their honesty reminds us that healing is not linear and that taking things one day at a time is more than enough.

Every day, parents in our private peer group check in, share updates, exchange information, and offer each other hope. Some days are heavy, some are quiet, and some bring small steps forward. All are welcome.

This week, we also held our second workshop combining baby loss and mental health. These workshops are free, created with the help of friends in the Baby Loss Community, and give us all a chance to pause and breathe. We look forward to launching the workshop publicly next month and hope to reconnect with many of you.

If today is a hard day, please take your time here. You are welcome in this space, exactly as you are.
