Have you added your little one?

In less than 48 hours, 311 bereaved parents have registered with us, as of 7am this morning, representing 447 babies and children's names. Each name will be lovingly handwritten onto an individual name card, accompanied by full instructions on how to take part in the Wave of Light on 15th October.

For those who receive one of our special Acts of Kindness packs, the name card helps explain the meaning behind joining the Wave of Light and encourages sharing, allowing parents to see just how far their child's name has travelled. Over the past twelve years, we have been deeply touched by the many photographs families have shared of candles lit at 7pm alongside their child's name card. These treasured keepsakes become a lasting memory, offering comfort and a tangible reminder that their child is remembered.
Every pack carries a story behind it, one that many of us sadly know all too well. Most people know someone who has experienced the loss of a baby during pregnancy, infancy, or later childhood. These children are not statistics. They are our sons and daughters, deeply loved, wanted, cherished, and remembered every single day.
We speak their names with pride, just as any parent would. Although tears may still fall, I like to think that each one is a kiss from heaven, a gentle reminder that, somehow, we will be okay. It may not feel that way today, and the journey through grief is never straightforward, but there will come a time when you laugh out loud again. The laughter may feel different, because grief changes us, and some things simply no longer seem as important or as amusing as they once did.
Loss has a way of reshaping our lives, our priorities, and our perspective. Yet through it all, our children remain part of us. Their names are spoken, their memories are treasured, and their love continues to shine brightly in the hearts of those who carry them forever.
