And in Honour of Her Mum, Our Fundraising & Operations Director
Tracy Bulpitt
In loving memory of a precious young lady — Katy Elouise Bulpitt — daughter to our Director and Volunteer, Tracy Bulpitt. It is an honour to work alongside someone so passionate, caring, determined, and above all, real. No frills. No pretence. Just a pure Scottish lassie who brings smiles, laughter, and plenty of it too.
Over the last two years, many of you will have seen more of Tracy — and today, we are proud to say that she is officially our NEW Fundraising & Operations Director. And yes, she is 100% a volunteer — someone who leads the way in Cumbernauld, supporting grieving families with compassion, honesty, and lived experience.
💛 Tracy’s Story — In Her Own Words
Volunteering has been a roller coaster for me.I first volunteered to give myself a focus after Katy died. I wanted to help others, but I found that so many groups were aimed at the wrong age range for me. I struggled with this, especially because I still had living children at home, and I didn’t want to take away from my time with them.
Over time, I needed to do things to keep Katy’s memory alive. I decided I would raise funds in my girl’s memory to continue the great work charities do.I don’t only support Handmade with Love & Making Memories — I also fundraise and raise awareness through Asthma + Lung UK.
Since 2022, I have held various fundraising events, taken part in the Kiltwalk, and even abseiled from the top of Anfield Stadium. All of this has been not only in memory of Katy, but in honour of all the angels.
I also support my local community through a grief support group and work with local nursing homes and hospices to create end‑of‑life memory packs.
Everything I do is about keeping Katy’s memory alive.
This coming year, I hope to finalise the new Children’s Well-being Box that our amazing volunteers have been working on (thank you to each and every one of you — I know I’m a pest!).I will also be holding my third Baby Loss Awareness stand this October, giving people the chance to remember a little one taken too soon. This event has helped break the ice and the taboo surrounding baby loss, and I can’t wait to do it again.
Christmas is already in my thoughts, as I need to speak with the big man in the red suit about remembering all the babies and children in Eastfield Cemetery, something we have done every year since December 2021.
And I will continue to support parents through their grief journey, because I know how it feels to put on that brave face. We all need to remember: It’s OK not to be OK — it’s just not OK to do it alone.
🌟 A Volunteer Like No Other
Tracy has run countless events, raising thousands of pounds to support Handmade with Love & Making Memories, including the incredible Christy’s Readings fundraisers. This year, Tracy and her daughters, Maycee and Charlotte, completed the Glasgow Kiltwalk, raising over £1,000 in Katy’s memory.
“Katy would want you to smile” — that’s the message Tracy carries in everything she does. And she does make us smile. Every single day.
Thank you for being you, Tracy Bulpitt —a dedicated single mum of 5 walking side by side with her, and a dedicated child‑loss parent to Katy, a volunteer for charitable organisations, an admin supporting bereaved parents, a counselling support presence, and a woman who shows up at a moment’s notice.
You are one in a million.
Thank you from all the siblings, bereaved parents, and volunteers whose lives you touch every day.
Luanne, Joyce, Sam, Harry, & All the team
