This Sunday, we come together for International Bereaved Mothers’ Day — a day to honour every mother who carries love and loss in her heart. It’s a day for all types of loss: babies born sleeping, children taken too soon, pregnancies that ended before they began, and journeys that had to end to save a mother’s life. It’s also for those who longed to conceive but couldn’t — because grief wears many faces, and every journey matters.
Each little one’s DNA, each journey, each love is unique. So is the grief a mother holds. On this day, we gather to say their names, light candles, and share our stories — not to fix the pain, but to remind one another that we are not alone.
You can join us on YouTube as we light our candles together and speak their names aloud. Or you can honour quietly — with a friend, a loved one, or in your own space. There is no right way to grieve. There is only your way.
Throughout the day, we’ll host self‑care posts to help you breathe, reflect, and reconnect. We’ll talk about the truth of grief — that there’s no endpoint, no quick fix. Time doesn’t erase love; it simply gives us space to share when we feel ready, in the right environment, or sometimes from day one.
Relationships may shift, partners may drift, but love — like the bond with your little one — remains unbreakable. ~ #griefispainful #wearealldifferent #memoriesareforever
This day is about reading, sharing, coming along, and leaving a heart on a post you have read and that has touched your heart. Letting that mother know you resonate with her honours her for sharing. It’s about letting others know: I see you. I hear you. You’re not alone.
If you choose to spend this day quietly, away from the world, that’s okay too. Your way of honouring is enough, whatever you choose.Â
From all of the team, “May this Mothering Sunday be gentle on your heart”.
