NEW Bereavement Support Group in Scotland OPENING

Updated: Jun 26, 2023

Our NEW Bereavement Peer Support Group is launching on the 6th of June 2023.

Our goal is to offer a place for anyone affected by grief to have a place to go and be with others. Our groups will be running every fortnight and activities to support grief and wellbeing monthly. One session will focus on those 16+ and another will be a family session which will support families and their children. These will operate on a drop-in basis for support, and our workshops will need to be booked in person or online. These sessions are completely free of charge including our workshop’s, coffee, and cake. It is OK not to be OK, but it is not OK to do this alone.

During Covid, we saw our baby loss online support increase due to people in the community losing family members, friends and having nowhere to turn to for support. As we are run by a community supporting the community, we are so proud to be launching our first ever ‘Gone but never forgotten’ Peer Group Support, with our trained bereavement team of volunteers. Come down and see us on our ‘Launch’ date 6th June 11am till 1pm and have a chat with our team. Everyone is welcome, pop in have a chat, coffee, and cake with us.

We are also looking for volunteers to join the team, so if you are looking to support locally, and understand what it is like to lose a baby, child, family member or partner then please visit our webpage @handmadewithlove.net for an application form.

The survival guide

It is all about survival, yet we do not talk about it as much as we should. Or you will hear "You will get there" like were the fuck is there? Heaven or Hell... No, I never said it as much as I wanted
