💗 UK — We Need You. 🇬🇧
Over 250,000 babies are lost every year in the UK — and still, contrary to belief, we DO NOT have a National Day of Remembrance. We’re asking the UK Government to officially recognise 15th October so families can finally have a day to honour their precious little ones.
🌸 Why It Matters
Too many parents never had a funeral, a goodbye, or even acknowledgement. A National Day of Remembrance will help families feel seen, supported, and never alone. It will open conversations, educate workplaces and communities, and unite everyone touched by pregnancy or infant loss. Help provide those necessary conversations in places of education, work, and most of all our siblings who often get forgotten.
📌 A Professional, Essential Point
The UK now has three separate Baby Loss Awareness Weeks, each created to highlight the experiences of specific communities. These weeks do important work — but the impact of having multiple separate awareness weeks is that loss becomes segmented, and families can feel unintentionally divided by ethnicity or identity.
Pregnancy and infant loss affects every community, every background, every family.
All babies matter.
All parents matter.
All stories matter.
A National Day of Remembrance on 15th October would bring everyone together — one united day, one united message, one united moment of love and acknowledgement for every baby and every family.
This day is not about fundraising, branding, or organisational promotion. It is simply about remembrance, unity, and compassion. Countries

10th–16th May — Black Baby Loss Awareness Week UK
13th–18th July — South Asian Baby Loss Awareness Week UK
9th–15th October — Baby Loss Awareness Week UK
These weeks raise vital awareness — but families deserve one national day where everyone stands together, without separation.
