Thank‑You Message to Volunteers
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of our volunteers — including Harry and me — for everything we do collectively to support bereaved parents and our wider communities. Every life matters to each and every one of us, which is why our Face‑to‑Face Support Group in Scotland is open to anyone affected by grief. This inclusive approach allows us to walk alongside our community, especially at a time when mental health and counselling services are limited or subject to long waiting lists.
In addition to our bereavement support, we are proud to work in partnership with Jack’s House, supporting families with children under 25 undergoing cancer treatment, as well as with the Birmingham Men’s and Women’s Cancer Wards. It is an honour to collaborate with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and the dedicated teams who organise events and provide essential care.
Over the past 12 years of volunteering, Harry and I have had the privilege of watching Angel Parents UK & Worldwide and Handmade with Love and Making Memories CIC grow into more than a team — they have become an extended family. The dedication, compassion, and unwavering support shown by our volunteers have exceeded anything we could have imagined.
Our goals for the next 18 months include strengthening relationships with our chosen hospitals and delivering additional well‑being workshops within our communities. We are also excited to expand our services in Northern Ireland, working alongside David and Sam, both of whom are volunteers and bereaved parents. Each of us walks this path because we have experienced the loss of a baby or child, or have been deeply affected by someone who has — and we share a united commitment to making a difference.
We extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who supports us and continues to help us grow within the community. We are grateful to have been able to fundraise independently, and we deeply appreciate the families who have participated in special events to support our work. We would also like to thank The Benefact Group for their generous donation following the Volunteer of the Year Award, and The National Lottery for sponsoring our Rainbow Project, supporting families who are pregnant after loss.
Last but not least, to the millions who give their time, love, care, and dedication — we stand with you as proud volunteers, united in making a meaningful difference in our communities.
